This 1850's evening gown was a part of our historical costume course at Omnia. It is designed by Samppa Lahdenperä. 

 

My customer was a 17 year old girl who needed a dress for Wanhojen tanssit, a finnish tradition for second year high school students. She was also planning on using it in cosplay events.

The ensemble consists of a corset, crinoline, skirt and bodice. Main fabrics used were polyester taffeta, tulle, lace, cotton and satin.
